Richard Burton plays John Morlar, a novelist who discovers he is a psychic with telekinetic powers. Morlar has caused two recent disasters: an airliner crash and the loss of a manned spacecraft.

Jeremy has a three minutes on screen but he makes the most of it. He's a charming, dashing man -- apparently a playboy actor -- who whisks off with the Morlar's wife, Patricia (Marie-Christine Barrault). The three have a prickly scene together, ruffling feathers on all sides. Not to mention Jeremy's shirt.
