Three Roads to Rome was trilogy of short romantic dramas set in Italy. It was written by Tad Mosel, a prolific and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer for TV and theater. For this production, he adapted three stories:

  • Venus Ascendant, by Martha Gellhorn.

  • Roman Fever, by Edith Wharton.

  • The Rest Cure, by Aldous Huxley.

Deborah Kerr made her television debut in this production, playing a different role in each vignette. Jeremy's role came in the The Rest Cure segment. It tells the story of a woman whose dissatisfaction with the confines of married life leads her into a liaison with disastrous consequences.
